Tyrell Avenue Redevelopment Project

42 1/2 Tyrell Ave

Tyrell Avenue is a blighted block where nearly half of the properties are abandoned. On November 24, 2020, Trenton City Council approved a resolution designating BCHT the redevelopers assigned to Tyrell Avenue's housing rehabilitation. BCHT's plan is to address the blight in stages, starting in December 2020. Watch Peterson’s Breaking News of Trenton’s video interview of BCHT's Executive Director, Pearleen Waters, BCHT Grant Writer and Advisory Board Member, Linda Oliaro and an excited long-time Tyrell Avenue resident discussing BCHT's now-active 42 1/2 Tyrell Ave rehabbed housing project at https://fb.watch/hopFX4iilP/.

Although they cost substantially more to build, the homes that continue to be built for BCHT’s ongoing Tyrell Ave Housing Redevelopment Project are selling for just $39,000 with a 15-year installment sale agreement held by BCHT — making them truly affordable. Read more here.
